The “2015 American Music Awards®” Expands Global Footprint To All-time High Of 197 Territories.

Dick Clark productions, the world’s largest producer and proprietor of televised live event entertainment programming, announced today that the “2015 American Music Awards,” the world’s biggest fan-voted awards show, has expanded its global reach to an all-time high of 197 territories worldwide. The American Music Awards are seen in approximately 93% of the world, reaching an additional estimated 20 to 30 million viewers worldwide. Licensees for this year’s show include CTV Canada, NHK Japan, Foxtel Australia, RTL/CBS Entertainment Asia, Turner Latin America, Fox Netherlands and Flemish Speaking Belgium, Viacom 18 India, TNT Germany, MNET South Africa, D17 France, TV2 Norway, Cignal Philippines, DRTV Denmark, and NetMed Indonesia. International music superstar Jennifer Lopez will host the “2015 American Music Awards” live on Sunday, November 22 at 8:00pm ET on ABC.

The “2015 American Music Awards” will feature performances by 5 Seconds of Summer, Justin Bieber, Leon Bridges, Coldplay, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Nick Jonas, Jennifer Lopez, Demi Lovato, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Alanis Morissette, One Direction, Gwen Stefani, The Weeknd, Carrie Underwood, WALK THE MOON, duets from Meghan Trainor and Charlie Puth, Luke Bryan featuring Karen Fairchild of Little Big Town and the legendary Star Wars score to be performed by pop super group Pentatonix and a full symphony orchestra.
Last year, ABC’s broadcast of the “2014 American Music Awards” made it the dominant No. 1 non-sports net from 8:00-11:00 p.m. in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49.
·         In total viewers and adults 18-49, the “American Music Awards” marked its 2nd-highest numbers in the last 3 years – since 2011. In addition, the “2014 American Music Awards“ scored the show’s 2nd-highest number in 10 years with teens 12-27 – since 2004.
·         Despite the substantial competition, the “2014 American Music Awards” scored ABC’s strongest entertainment numbers in the 3-hour time period in 9 months with viewers and young adults – since the “Academy Awards” on 3/2/14.
·         ABC’s “American Music Awards” ranked as the No. 1 most social program on television Sunday with 5.65 million tweets
Taylor Swift leads the “2015 American Music Award” nominations with six nominations. Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd tie with five nominations each, while Sam Hunt, Nicki Minaj, Sam Smith, Meghan Trainor and Walk the Moon earn three nominations each.  Additionally, Jason Aldean, Chris Brown, Luke Bryan, Drake, Fetty Wap, Florida Georgia Line, Ariana Grande, Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, One Direction, Charlie Puth, Rihanna, Mark Ronson and Wiz Khalifa each receive two nominations.

As always at the American Music Awards, artists will be honored in the genres of Pop/Rock, Alternative Rock, Country, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul/R&B, Adult Contemporary, Contemporary Inspirational, Latin, EDM, Soundtrack, New Artist of the Year Presented by Kohl’s, Song of The Year, Collaboration of the Year Un-leashed by T-Mobile and Artist of the Year.
