For the first time, Tribeca Festival is going mobile! In partnership with Bloomberg Philanthropies, Tribeca will utilize traveling 40-foot state-of-the-art LED cinemas, the first mobile HD screens in the country, to send our signature selections of cinematic storytelling straight into the local communities that make New York City great! Recreating the look and feel of summertime block parties, we invite communities to come and see world premieres, family-friendly films and culturally-charged stories relevant to the neighborhoods we live in.
Much of the programming for Borough To Borough will focus on Black and Puerto Rican communities, which have deep ties to the culture and history of New York City. Our Puerto Rican Cinema lineup will feature first-run films that celebrate the resilience and creativity of this beloved island and its people. Our Black Cinema Revival will feature such titles as Selma, Shaft and He Got Game, that will have us visiting familiar characters and introducing them to the next generation!
From the Rockaways in Queens all the way up to Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, our Borough To Borough program looks to re-energize and reunite NYC neighborhoods by bringing back the fun and excitement of experiencing motion pictures under the New York City skyline.
Tickets to in-person screenings and events are available for advance reservation.
