The biopic of hip hop legend Tupac Shakur is finally coming to theaters on June 16. All Eyez on Me chronicles the rapper’s life and legacy until his untimely death at the age of 25 in 1996. Fans have long awaited to see this film which was in the works for several years. The highly anticipated film is on a promotional tour traveling to major cities with Director Benny Boom, the cast and promotion team.
Maysles Cinema held a private screening in Harlem which showed a 12 minute sneak preview followed by a Q&A with the cast. Director Benny Boom, Executive Producer L.T. Hutton, Demetrius Shipp, Dominic Santana and Hill Harper discussed not only the film, but Tupac’s influence in Hip Hop, Latin artists, and black cinema in Hollywood. These individuals were heavily influenced by the rapper and proved that one man can change the world. All Eyez on Me in theaters nationwide on June 16.
