As an official sponsor of this major convention, SESAC Latina has made its presence felt in many ways.
On hand for the convention’s traditional ribbon-cutting kickoff were SESAC Latina Director Celeste Zendejas and affiliated songwriter Luciano Luna. Also present were a who’s-who of industry personalities, radio executives and artists from Mexico and the United States.
Previously, at a special evening event for music creators, the convention welcomed Luciano Luna, who gave unique personal performances of the many No. 1 hits that he’s written for other artists.  Describing this celebrated Mexican songwriter, the convention program noted that “experience and composition make him one-of-a-kind.”
SESAC Latina songwriter and producer Mauricio L. Arriaga also made a memorable appearance at the convention serving as co-leader of a seminar titled “Composing and Producing Music in the Factory of Dreams.” This discussion referred to his original compositions that have been included in highly rated telenovelas.  Accompanied by his business partner Eduardo Murguía, Arriaga pointed out that over 20 of their songs are heard daily in Mexico, the United States and other countries, including in the current novela Antes Muerta que Lichita (Better Off Dead Than Being Lichita), which is produced by Televisa and is broadcast weekdays on prime-time by Univision.
