SESAC Latina congratulates its nominees

Creating the Latin-music trends that captivate young music-lovers in the United States and Puerto Rico, the artists of SESAC Latina are well-represented among the nominees for the 2015 edition of Premios Juventud (Youth Awards), produced by Univisión.

This awards ceremony takes a different approach with distinctive categories such as “The Perfect Combination” (collaborations), ringtones and “Vein-Cutting Song” for the track that most effectively moves our emotions.

The songwriters and artists of SESAC Latina set the pace among youth culture with nominations in important categories.

Testifying to the diversity of this performing-rights organization’s catalog, the nominees for the 2015 Premios Juventud include urban artists such as Nicky Jam and Gente D’ Zona (SGAE), along with the chart-dominating Regional Mexican group Calibre 50.

The 2015 Premios Juventud will be televised live, Thursday, July 16, by Univisión.

° Combinación Perfecta: Nicky Jam, writer and performer of “El Perdón” (Forgiveness), featuring Enrique Iglesias.

° Combinación Perfecta: Edén Muñoz, writer and vocalist of “Qué Tiene De Malo” (What’s Wrong With It?), performed by his group Calibre 50 alongside El Komander.

° Tu CD Favorito (Your Favorite CD): Luciano Luna, writer of several tracks on the Luis Coronel albumQuiero Ser Tu Dueño (I Want to Be Your Man), including the first single “Tenerte” (To Have You).

° La Más Pegajosa (The Catchiest): Nicky Jam, writer and performer of “El Perdón,” featuring Enrique Iglesias.

° La Más Pegajosa: José Alfredo Iturbe Parra, writer of “Cuando La Miro” (When I See Her), performed by Luis Coronel.

° Mi Video Favorito (My Favorite Video): Luciano Luna, writer of “Tenerte,” performed by Luis Coronel.

° Canción Corta-Venas (Vein-Cutting Song): Edwin Giovannie Bonilla Soto, writer of “Como Quiero Odiarte”(How I Want to Hate You), performed by Favela.

° Mi Letra Favorita (My Favorite Lyrics): Edén Muñoz and José Luis Roma, writers of “Contigo” (With You), performed by Calibre 50. This song is in its ninth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Regional Mexican Songs chart.
