GL Headshot - ApprovedJanuary will be ALL about the dogs as The World Dog Awards is set to debut.  The show will celebrate canines who’ve worked in films and on television.  In addition to the dogs that will be honored, celebrity dog lovers will will present awards as well as recieve a few.

Some of those celebrities scheduled to appear are “Watch What Happens: Live” host Andy Cohen, Twilight saga vampire hottie Nikki Reed, former Nsync member Lance Bass and Vampire Diaries heartthrob Ian Somerhalder and the hosting duties going to the multifaceted George Lopez.

Lopez, who got his start as a stand up comic has appeared in many films like Real Women Have Curves, Swing Vote, voiced characters for Rio and Rio 2, The Smurfs and Smurfs 2 as well as the Beverly Hills Chihuahua.  In addition to his comedy and movie career, Lopez has hosted a morning radio show (1999), starred in his own sitcom George Lopez (2002-2007) and Saint George (2014), been a tv commentator for Inside the NFL (2003-2004) and hosted his own talk show Lopez Tonight (2009-2011).

The World Dog Awards airs Thursday January 15, 2015 at 8pm on the CW network.
