Francisca ValenzuelaThe 7th edition of the Independent Music Awards MIN 2015, took place yesterday in Madrid, Spain. The event brought together the best artists, record labels, music executives and media to the ceremony.
Francisca Valenzuela, who released her album Tajo Abierto worldwide in September 2014, received the MIN Award for ‘Best International Artist’.  Valenzuela was nominated along side of artists like:The War On Drugs Rubén Blades, Caribou and Future Islands.  The recognition was awarded after being chosen by a select jury and by gaining the public’s support, by direct internet voting through the official site of the contest.

“Unfortunately I could not attend the awards because I am in Los Angeles, CA.  It is an honor to have been recognized by the MIN Awards, first as a nominee and now as a winner. I am a huge fan of all my fellow nominees and it was an honor to be nominated. Francisca will be reunited with her Spanish fans when she performs at the prestigious music festival,‘Festival La Mar de Músicas’, on July 23 in Cartagena. This year, Chile is the country invited to the festival.
