Two-time BRIT Award nominee Jonas Blue will perform a kick-off concert in Los Angeles
Breakout U.K. artist Calum Scott to also perform
Capitol Music Group artist Jonas Blue kicks off Fly to the Beat, a partnership between Universal Music Group and Brands (UMGB) and American Airlines, with a send-off concert in Los Angeles on May 13, 2017 before jumping on an American Airlines flight to Hong Kong where he will connect with and perform for his fans. The Fly to the Beat program connects Universal Music Group artists with their fans in international cities via American Airlines, performing in those cities for the first time.
Jonas Blue is a two-time BRIT Award nominee whose debut single, ‘Fast Car,’ sold over 6 million records worldwide in addition to being the biggest selling single globally in 2016 from a debut British artist. Jonas Blue will be joined by breakout U.K. artist and label mate Calum Scott who will open the concert. Scott’s poignant version of Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own” has become a global sensation, quickly charting in over 34 countries on Spotify and hitting No. 1 on iTunes in 11 countries.
Fly to the Beat is a continuation of the relationship between Universal Music Group and American Airlines, with past activations at the Grammys and BRIT Awards.
Jonas Blue will be just one of the Universal Music Group artists participating in Fly to the Beat this year. UMGB and American Airlines will soon announce which artist will be taking off from one of American Airlines’ hubs this fall and traveling to São Paulo, Brazil.
