Fresh off the heels of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Heineken® will once again bring its famous Heineken® House experience to the Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival in San Francisco on August 11-13. Attendees 21 and over can kick it with Heineken and get closer to some of their favorite musicians than ever before, with a weekend of exclusive performances from top artists and DJs, all in a comfortable, premium festival setting.
Heineken House will go bigger and better for this year's Outside Lands footprint, with an exclusive set on Sunday, August 13 from hip-hop luminary, Big Boi – one of music's most versatile acts. The 7-time GRAMMY award-winning rapper, songwriter, record producer and actor, best known for being a member of the iconic hip-hop duo OutKast, will take the stage for an intimate set following the release of his latest studio album, "Boomiverse."
"Heineken has been hitting up music festivals for years, and I'm excited to give back to my fans with an exclusive set at their Heineken House," said Big Boi. "The Bay Area has some of the best lovers of music in the country, and I'm looking forward to heading back to Outside Lands for another round with Heineken."
Similar to 2016, the Heineken House and its famous double domes will be the festival's ultimate destination of incredible music, engagements and festival amenities. The House will have a 360-degree HD video projected on the ceiling of both the domes, creating a true experiential party atmosphere that will glow "Heineken green" at night. Guests will be immersed in the audio and visual experience by the live VJ and DJ performances, refreshing AC, Wi-Fi and perfectly chilled Heinekens. Additionally, Heineken is offering several enhancements including a digital graffiti wall, charging bar for iOS and Droid devices and the Heineken Beer Pass, which will allow guests to purchase a beer for a friend outside of the dome, who will then receive front of line access to the Heineken House.
"Our Heineken House at Outside Lands is one of the best activations we do globally, and we're excited to come back with another lineup of top performers and immersive experiences," said Pattie Falch, Brand Director for Sponsorships and Events, HEINEKEN USA. "The festival has cemented itself as one of the best in the country, and we will be helping to elevate concert-goers' time on site with a weekend full of great beer, high energy and unforgettable experiences."
In addition to the Big Boi and DJ Jazzy Jeff performances, attendees will have the opportunity to see performances by artists including Brodinsky, Frank Walker, The Prince and Michael Experience, DJ Umami, King Most, Josh wink, Infinity Ink, Brittany Sky, Motion Potion, DJ Tyme, Totally Enourmous Extinct Dinosaurs, No Regular Play, NVOY, DJ Celeste Lear and Tekfreaks: Jeff Taisch & Cosmic Selector.
New this year to the Heineken House at Outside Lands is "This One Is On Us", an initiative launched in the United States for the first time in March. Consumers can visit a water bar in the Heineken House to receive free cups of water throughout the entire duration of the festival. By encouraging moderate drinking, festival attendees are able to get the most out of their festival experience, compliments of Heineken.
"This One Is On Us" debuted for the first time in 2016 and is part of Heineken's commitment to Brewing a Better World, by offering initiatives that make responsible consumption and sustainable practices easier, accessible and more relevant to our fans.
