The Real Horror Is Sittin’ Through It!
The Woman in the Yard starts with an intriguing premise — a grieving mother (Danielle Deadwyler) and her kids are stuck in their house while a creepy figure slowly approaches from the yard. Spooky, right? Well, not really. Why? Well… halfway through, the big “twist” is so obvious you’ll wonder why the movie even bothers dragging it out. It tries to be deep and unsettling but ends up more confusing than scary. Despite solid performances, the story unravels into a messy, incoherent slog. If you were hoping for a chilling horror experience, keep looking. The only promising moment this film has is when the credits start rolling.
