Weakest link

After earth-shattering revelations of INSURGENT, Tris (Shailene Woodley) must escape with Four (Theo James) and go beyond Chicago’s decimated enclosures. For the first time, they will leave the only city and family they have ever known. Once outside, old discoveries are quickly deemed meaningless with revelations of… Oh, whatever!

Didn’t love it, didn’t hate it. Looks and sounds good, but that’s it. The premise for this one is interesting enough to engage, but executed loosely. As a whole, it’s nothing but a continuous layout of confused pretty people running around accompanied by effects to seduce your optic nerve. On the upside, Jeff Daniels is a plus. The movie’s last line of defense. Its last heart-beat to an extent. Not sure what it is, but this franchise (as a whole) lacks the magical “it-factor” it so obviously wants and/or needs. One more to go and it’s a wrap.
