NYX cosmetics celebrated its grand opening of their Union Square flagship store during the Halloween weekend. The makeup brand is expanding their empire by launching several retail stores throughout the U.S. Over the years, NYX was mostly known as a drug store brand, but has become widely popular through youtube vloggers, makeup artists and consumers. The NYC launch is their biggest store opening which featured special giveaways and meet and greets with youtube vloggers/celebrity makeup artists Kandee Johnson, Mac Daddy and Alyssa Edwards. Prior to launching, the mobile truck popped up at multiple Manhattan locations offering giveaways and makeup services.
The first 300 in line per day at store opening received a special edition makeup bag with a mystery prize. In addition, other prizes including selfie sticks, tumblers, and treats were giving while waiting. NYX is one of the few makeup brands that is inexpensive with fine quality products.
