"CHI® & Univision’s Jomari Goyso Unveil #CHIparaMi Latino Campaign"

Dr. Farouk Shami, Chairman and Founder of Farouk Systems Inc., the manufacturer of the CHI® and BioSilk® brands, announces the launch of the #CHIparaMi campaign with celebrity stylist and Univision television personality Jomari Goyso.

#CHIparaMi is an initiative designed to host seminars around the United States promoting the empowerment of women along with providing beauty education to inspire. #CHIparaMi will deliver motivational content and brand exposure to the Latina market through Univision programming in Spanish that will include a media campaign along with tutorials from Jomari Goyso. In addition to this partnership, Dr. Farouk Shami, along with Jomari Goyso, will be touring the 6 cities in the United States to provide makeovers with Farouk Systems commitment to donate $10,000 in product monthly to Hispanic communities.

Jomari, who is also a beauty and fashion expert and co-host of Univision’s evening TV show Sal y Pimienta (Salt and Pepper), Primer Impacto (First Impact) and other Univision shows, is thrilled to enter into this agreement with CHI® and its founder Dr. Farouk Shami, to help deliver a message of beauty and stylish motivation to the Latino community throughout the USA. This is the first time since Jomari became a part of the Univision family that he has agreed to become a spokesperson for a beauty brand.

“This campaign will provide the perfect platform for us to reach out to all Latina women to help motivate and inspire through beauty,” states Dr. Farouk Shami, Chairman and Founder of Farouk Systems Inc. “I am proud to have Jomari on board to help spread our message and serve as our new spokesperson. The #CHIparaMi campaign officially kicks off through social media and an exclusive announcement party in Miami on August 24, 2016. The campaign will feature TV spots, posters, and special social content including photos and tutorial videos.

About Jomari Goyso

Born in Spain, Jomari Goyso got his start in the world of beauty at the age of just 16 when he became the personal hairstylist for the female lead singer of the Spanish group Fangoria. His career has taken off since then, and his list of clients has broadened to include numerous film and recording stars in Spain. In addition, he regularly participates as a stylist in important fashion shows in Madrid and Paris. When he was 21, he decided to move to Hollywood, where he started working as a stylist for internationally-known celebrities who wear his creations at such high-profile events as the Oscars and the Golden Globes. Throughout his career, he has also worked for numerous publishing houses and covers of major magazines including Vogue, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Vanidades, Hola, People en Español, InStyle, and others.

En 2008, Jomari Goyso took his first steps as a beauty critic with a monthly column in the American magazine Estylo, and soon after that he got his own beauty section on the Yahoo! Telemundo’s Mujer de Hoy web channel. In 2010, he made the jump to television appearing on CNN en Español as a commentator on Hollywood red carpets of, and in 2011 he was invited by “Primer Impacto” to comment on the red carpet at the “Premios Juventud” Youth Awards.  His success on that assignment led to the creation of his own weekly segment on the program and his co-host role on Sal y Pimienta” (Salt and Pepper), the evening show adds salt and pepper to the hottest show-business headlines. He was also judge during season eight and nine of the Univision Network’s hit reality show/beauty contest “Nuestra Belleza Latina” (Our Latin Beauty or NBL)

Jomari was nominated for the Metropolitan Fashion Awards 2016 in the “fashion commentator”category competing against some of the top fashion experts in the entertainment industry.
