Photographer Hunter Barnes partnered with Milk studios for a special project showcasing the artistic views of the Carnival community. The private opening reception had a full house at the Milk gallery in the Meatpacking District. The black and white portraits displays not only carnival fun, but the lives of its performers. Attendees got a glimpse into a world that is often misconstrued in the American culture. The portraits are available for purchase in selected sizes (prices vary). The Carnival Comes to Town is open to the public at Milk gallery until December 3, 2017.
