What do you do when you’re the last man on earth. Like literally the LAST man on earth? That’s the question Phil Miller, the lone survivor of a virus that wiped out the human race in 2018 must answer. You can do whatever you want, however you want and whenever you want because there’s nobody there to tell you that you’re doing something wrong. Shopping without the hassle of long lines?  Check. Being able to drive without getting stuck in traffic? Check. Living in the BIGGEST house in the neighborhood? Check. Taking a margarita bath? Check check check!
Now based off the trailer and premise of the show I was VERY skeptical that it would be remotely entertaining let alone something I would find myself tuning into on a weekly basis. I mean who the hell wants to dedicate 30 minutes of their life each week watching one man? Ok maybe if he was a HOT man I’d tune in JUST for the eye candy. LMFAO. After reviewing the pilot episode I can honestly say it turned out different then what I expected. It starts off a little slow and comparisons to Tom Hanks and Castaway quickly come to mind, but by the middle of the epsiode things pick up. Will has a revelation that changes everything and THAT’S when things get entertaining.
It’s not a traditional comedy by any means, something left of center that’s an acquired taste, but it has a weird and quirky sort of charm to it. After viewing the premiere episode I’m curious to see what’s going to happen next. I mean when you hear something like “I should probably go wash my balls first” you can’t help but LOL and think OMG WTF did he just say? The one hour series premiere of the last man on earth debuts tonight at 9pm on Fox before moving to it’s regular time slot at 8:30pm next Sunday.
